For the interior design in this river-front home, located in Marshfield on Boston's south shore, the colors displayed by Mother Nature were the starting point. In the living room Robin and Caroline combined warm, autumnal hues with spring-like shades of green. Pillows and accessories in a seaside blue add pops of color. In the kitchen, we reconfigured the cabinets to maximize the views by moving them from the water-facing wall to the interior walls. The new cabinetry is stained in cherry to complement the red oak floors. A center island offers storage as well as a place to dine and socialize.
